I work from home. And I love it.
But when I used to walk into a building full of employees, there were more days than not, when I would say to some of my team, “It’s a new day and time to open a jar of possibilities!”
It started as a funny, ha-ha, way of displaying a sense of optimism.
Those on the receiving end of my exuberance, would jokingly mock me (at least I think it was a joke). “Aww come on! It’s too early for that!”
But then, after some time, they started to say it too! Was this a new level of mockery? Maybe. But I don’t think so.
It was clear. There was a sort of energy coming from that corny saying.
I still say it every day. But the dogs just cock their head and look at me funny. Oh well.
I thought about all of this when I read this article by Dave Kerpen. Talk about energy and enthusiasm for what you’re doing! I don’t know Dave. But I like him and what he has to say. Maybe you will too.
